Endless grasslands and Mopane woods paint the scene – and the beginning – of this Hosted Journey. These landscapes attract many a photographer offering herds of elephants, prides of lions and packs of wild dogs makes for an abundance of photo opportunities.

Named after the local Nhanzwa Chief, the largest national park in Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is host to Somalisa Camp. This national park is one to tick off when visiting Zimbabwe, home to the largest herds of elephant in the country. Here you will spend a few nights absorbing the surrounds of the national park on day and night drives.

After capturing the best in this region, head towards the mighty Victoria Falls, also known as “the smoke that thunders”, and capture this natural wonder, a signature visit for all travelers to this country.

Gather along the banks of the mighty Zambezi river and observe hippos wallowing while crocs lie sunbathing undisturbed in their midst. Views from your accommodation will be of mists rising up from Victoria Falls, a sight that even from a distance tugs at your emotions. Your stay will include activities highlighting the beauty of this magnificent natural wonder.

Photographic highlights include: Large herds of elephant, lion, leopard, hippo, wild dogs, great birding and landscape photography.
