This Signature Journey will start in Cape Town where you will experience the “Mother City” with all its history, amazing architecture and wonderful culinary delights. IKON will welcome you with an arrival dinner and tell you more about the country and its locals. You will experience the city, enjoy exquisite views from Table Mountain, see coastal routes leading down to the Cape of Good Hope and even visit the African Penguins as they waddle along one of the Peninsula’s most beautiful beaches. During your stay at a locally renowned hotel you will also have access to wine from our very own private wine lockers.
You will continue down the coast towards the Walker Bay region and be in awe of the beautiful coastline that stretches out from Cape Town to Hermanus. Hermanus is one of the most popular land-based whale watching sites in the world – August to November are the best times to see these gigantic mammals. Should you be the more adventurous type, then coming face-to-face with a Great White Shark will definitely be part of your trip and we will happily arrange a Shark Cage Diving experience. During your stay you will fly along the Southern Coast in a light aircraft, viewing the southernmost tip of Africa. From above, you will see the Southern Coast’s majestic coastline and even spot remnants of old fishing traps belonging to the San Bushman. Your stay will be at a well-known sea facing hotel and will be a combination of utter bliss, being spoilt with the most amazing oceanic views and impeccable service.
Once you have experienced the town of Hermanus, IKON will guide you into the Cape Winelands. Your expert guide will introduce you to some of the Cape’s most beautiful wine estates, meeting some of South Africa’s well-known winemakers and tasting a wide variety of wines. The beautiful town of Franschhoek will be your home in the Winelands. Franschhoek is also the culinary hub of Africa and IKON will ensure that you dine at only the finest restaurants.
Your next stop on this journey will be at Tswalu Kalahari Reserve. Here you will experience a conservation project aimed at returning the land back to its original state and ensuring the longevity of its desert adapted species. In the Kalahari you will view black maned lions, cheetah, buffalo, oryx, meerkat, bat eared fox, brown hyena, aardvark and the illusive pangolin.
Your Signature Journey will finish in the Greater Kruger with a stay at an iconic lodge in the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Here you will be spoilt to your hearts content and be part of some of the best safari experiences that Africa has to offer. Known for its huge concentration of predators you can be sure to see lions, leopards along with an abundance of other wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and more.
