Our Jambo Kenya Hosted Journey is the perfect combination of relaxation, discovery and harmony. Spend time exploring the land of Kenya, learning about the country and how the nation strives to conserve its wildlife.
Kenya has been protecting its wildlife for years – caring for elder elephants and taking in orphaned babies, giving them a better life. Over the years the unconditional love for Kenya’s wildlife has been embedded within its community. From an unfortunate history of hunting elephants for their ivory, they now dedicate much of their efforts to protecting them from such tragedies.
Jambo Kenya will take you on a journey of discovery, visiting and interacting with magnificent elephants in their own environment. Your experience will be part of the long life story for these beautiful giants. As they say, an elephant never forgets.
Part of your journey will include historical visits to the Swedo House and the Karen Blixen Museum (Bogani House), infamous for its feature in the “Out of Africa” movie and coffee garden.
Next, you will head towards Tsavo East – Kenya’s largest National Park. Your stay will be at a well-known camp whose owners are very involved with the elephants in the area. During your stay you will meet with orphaned elephants, learn about their behaviour and witness their daily routine. Watch how these magnificent animals wander to their local watering hole, wallowing, playing in the mud and interacting with wild elephants. In the evening you will meet with the dedicated keepers and help return the orphaned elephants to their enclosures for the night.
Your journey will continue to Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi. Here, you will enjoy some leisure time; exploring the city, meeting with locals and seeing what this city has to offer.
The last leg of your Jambo Kenya Hosted Journey will be another unforgettable highlight. Visit the Masai Mara and enjoy game drives and the opportunity to experience a romantic hot air balloon over the plains (additional charge) – a fantastic way to round off your journey and discover Kenya’s flagship wildlife.
